学在ZIBS丨ESCP Summer Exchange 学术与文化相融的暑期交换体验

During this summer break, ZIBS students Farina Fabiana from MCS program and Ong Chee Ching from iMF program spent a month in Paris at ESCP Europe. They reflected on their enriching and exciting exchange experiences at ESCP. Let's hear what they say about this unique experience!

Learning Experience 

During summer 2023, I joined the exchange program at ESCP, and it was an incredible experience. I enrolled in two courses: Luxury Marketing Trends and International Business Management. Luxury Marketing Trends was very interesting and stimulating, and our teacher was very engaging and passionate about her job. We learned a lot about the latest trends in the luxury market, and the course was also very useful as it taught us how to write a magazine article and structure a pitch. International Business Management was quite challenging but also very rewarding. The professors were incredibly wise and knowledgeable. We learned a lot from actual case studies, and we tested our ability to solve real problems that could occur in the sector. I was very satisfied with both courses.

All our classes took place at the historical République campus, located in the 11th Arrondissement, a central area full of restaurants and shops. The architecture of the campus was very beautiful, and we had a big inner court where we could meet with our friends in between classes to talk and play, a cafeteria, and a very nice lounge area. The most exciting thing was getting to know people from all around the world. I met a lot of new friends that added so much value to my whole experience! The international student council was very welcoming and organized lots of activities for us to get to know each other and the city. They were also always willing to help us if we had any problems.

Life in Paris

I would strongly recommend going to Paris if given the chance! It is an incredibly beautiful city, full of art, history, good food, and amazing landscapes. There’s always something to do in Paris, and you’ll never get bored. Public transportation works really well and takes you everywhere, and most museums are free for students! I recommend seeing the Eiffel Tower at night when it sparkles and eating some authentic French food; it’s very tasty! Overall, this was a very enriching experience, and I’m very glad that I made the choice to participate. Not only did I add new skills to my academic path, but it also allowed me to grow as a person.

Learning Experience 

Attending the summer exchange program at ESCP Business School in Paris was an enriching and unforgettable experience that exceeded all my expectations. The program's curriculum was meticulously designed, striking a perfect balance between theoretical knowledge and practical application. The faculty members, who were experts in their respective fields, facilitated engaging discussions, encouraged critical thinking, and provided invaluable insights into the world of business and management. The diverse range of courses offered allowed me to broaden my horizons and delve into subjects I had never explored before.

Life in Paris

The experience of studying in the heart of Paris was truly unparalleled. The city's rich history, art, and architecture were at my doorstep, providing the perfect backdrop for both learning and leisure, allowing me to immerse myself in French culture, from savoring delectable pastries at charming cafes to exploring iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and Louvre Museum. This unique blend of academic and cultural exploration made every moment a captivating adventure.

Following the successful cooperation between Zhejiang University International Business School (ZIBS) and ECSP Europe (ESCP) and as per the terms of the MOU, ZIBS and ESCP have confirmed to develop collaboration in Student Exchange programme. The purpose is to exchange graduate master students studying at ZIBS Master of Finance (iMF) with an equivalent number of graduate students studying at ESCP Europe Master in Management (MIM).
